Ms. Norris'
interest in people led her to portrait
painting more than 25 years ago. Her sensitive
portrayals are much more than an accurate likeness;
they are studies of character, gestures, feelings
and attitudes. Understanding an individual's
character through visual and non-visual cues is
important in the portrait process. Ms. Norris'
goal is to capture that fleeting expression that
escapes the camera and mirrors the soul of the
sitter. Through careful observations and skillful
manipulation of color and space, Ms. Norris consistently captures that
"special something"
that makes each person unique.
Ms. Norris is a juried member
of the Portrait Society of Atlanta and is active in
many other organizations. Her paintings hang in
corporate, municipal, and private collections. |
