I enjoy painting panoramic scenes and have studied the landscape paintings of such masters as Corot, Millet, Constable, Pissaro, and Inness. Although influenced by the compositional structures, color harmonies and working methods of these and other more contemporary artists, all of my pictures are related to particular places of my own experience, whether it be from my past travels to Europe and the Middle East or more local landscape views in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Recent work has been done outdoors, plein air, in and around the Columbus Georgia Riverwalk area.
