| Anne is from an old Mississippi family and has a deep love for the beauty of the natural world - its flowers and fruit, color and texture, and play of lights and shadows. She has studied drawing with Ben Smith, and has studied oil painting with Henry Barnes, Marc Chatov, and Alice Williams. In addition to her painting, Anne has worked in textile design and holds a masters degree in textile design. Her oil paintings emphasize still lifes, the figure, and landscapes. Recently, her painting has been influenced by her time spent in Tuscany. | |
